ARQUEBUSEDE ELIXIR FROM THE XVI CENTURY!
The story of the Arquebusade Elixir... As it all began…

The first Arquebusade Elixir was made at the beginning of the 1500s by the French monks, for the wounds caused by gunshots, skin injuries, and to ease body pains received in these ruthless battles.

Throughout the centuries, Arquebusade Water has been documented with two types of records; written accounts, correspondence and invoices, and the original recipe!

The first Arquebusade Elixir was made at the beginning of the 1500s by monks living in the French St. Anton monastery.
The second Arquebusade Elixir: Written documents, contemporary correspondence, and original invoices written with quill remained from two Swiss pharmacists Fabre &Bouet who produced Arquebusade Water in the 1790s.

SINCE XVI CENTURY

From 1790, it was Fabre and Bouet, two apothecaries from Lausanne who continued the production of Arquebusade Water using the original recipe of the Arquebusade Elixir written in the 1600s. The merchant house they founded in 1790 can be considered to be the first official manufacturer of Arquebusade Water. A number of documents, correspondences and invoices written with quill remained from them for the generations to come. The efficacy of their Arquebusade Water was well known throughout Europe and had an extensive reputation. The Arquebusade Water was very often accepted as a means of payment.
